Our high-quality zinc oxides for the personal care sector are produced exclusively from special high grade zinc (SHG zinc). The manufacturing process – the indirect process – is carried out in consideration with Good Manufacturing Practice (EU-GMP guidelines part II). Therefore, zinc oxide is particularly suitable for use as an excipient in the cosmetic industry.

Zinc oxide has been known for decades as skin caring in cosmetics. With its extremely good UV absorption properties in the UVA and UVB range, zinc oxide reliably protects against intensive solar radiation.

Zinc Oxide Grillo UV ProTec^® is a highly pure and very fine zinc oxide, which is used especially in sunscreen products as a broadband UV filter, where it ensures transparent and very good protection against UV radiation. It meets at least the purity requirements of the valid pharmacopoeias (Ph. Eur., BP and USP) and is listed by the FDA.

Zinc Oxide Grillo UV 8+ is a highly pure and fine zinc oxide that can be used as a broadband UV filter. It meets at least the purity requirements of the applicable pharmacopoeias (Ph. Eur., BP and USP) and is FDA-listed.
